VDP Week 2, Session 2: Fosse Fundamentals - Dance and Style

Step into the world of legendary Broadway choreographer Bob Fosse in this one-week intensive summer workshop designed for 6th-8th grade students. Known for his sharp, stylized movements and dramatic flair, Fosse’s unique dance style has left an indelible mark on the world of musical theater. Under the expert guidance of St. Agnes Academy’s Director of Dance, students will learn choreography inspired by Fosse’s work in Cabaret. Each day, they will dive into signature moves like jazz hands, isolations, and slow-burn walks, mastering the techniques and building stage confidence along the way. This workshop emphasizes strength, rhythm, and expressive movement, empowering students to embody the energy and style of Fosse. By the end of the week, students will perform an energetic showcase for family and friends, bringing the magic of Cabaret to life and celebrating one of Broadway’s most influential dance styles. This is a rare opportunity for young dancers to immerse themselves in the world of Fosse and leave the stage with a newfound sense of artistry and performance!

Additionally, I consent to any medical treatment deemed necessary by the Summer Program Director in the event of illness or injury to my child or dependent.
